Before founding VendAsta, Ches served as COO of Point2 Technologies Inc.`s heavy equipment division. Ches held the title of Vice President Sales prior to being named COO. During his 9 years at Point2, Ches worked extensively with Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT), headquartered in Peoria Illinois. In his role as CatUsed Global Product Manager from 2003 to 2005, Ches travelled the world extensively interfacing with stakeholders from Cat Inc. and its global dealer network. Early in his career, Ches worked for Finning International Inc. (TSE:FTT), the Caterpillar authorized dealer headquartered in Vancouver Canada. In addition to VendAsta, Ches has recently Co-founded and is acting Vice President for a Mortgage Investment Corporation which operates in 3 western Canadian provinces. Ches holds a Diploma in Marketing Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Brendan King is the Co-founder and President of VendAsta Technologies Inc. Before founding VendAsta, Brendan served as COO and a Director of Point2 Realty solutions. From 2002 through 2007 Brendan was the visionary and entrepreneurial driving force behind Point2 Agent, leading its evolution into the Point2 NLS the industries first National Listing Service with over 165,000 members in 85 countries. Brendan also served as Point2 Technologies Director of Marketing from 2000 to 2002. Brendan founded and sold two successful computer retailing operations. Delron Computers (1990-1995) and CompuSmart (1995-2000), the later of which was franchised nationally across Canada. Brendan also worked for Cameco Corporation as a Geophysicist and holds an Advanced Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Saskatchewan.
Jason is the Chief Technical Officer of VendAsta Technologies Inc. responsible for all aspects of technological evaluation, direction, and strategy. Prior to VendAsta, Jason was the Chief Technical Officer for Point2 Technologies, Inc. setting the architectural directions for their business systems for both the heavy equipment and real estate divisions. Working at Point2 from 1999 through 2007, he helped recruit and grow the technical team from 3 people to 50. Jason has also worked as a software consultant, a research associate at the University of Saskatchewan, and a software engineer for IBM Canada in the AS/400 languages group. Jason holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
Jeff is the Executive Vice President of Business Development for VendAsta Technologies Inc. Jeff will manage strategic partner development, industry development, marketing and strategic planning. Prior to VendAsta, Jeff was the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Point2 Technologies Inc. During his time at Point2, Jeff shaped Point2 Agent from its inception and helped build the Point2 NLS into an industry leading real estate marketing solution. He joined Point2 in 2002 and served until 2007. Jeff spearheaded Point2 Technologies' strategic partner relationships with some of the largest media companies in the world; including Google, Yahoo, the New York Times, CanWest Media and IAC's Lending Tree. Jeff has more than 10 years experience in online marketing and software development and 8 years in real estate property management, development and acquisitions. He holds a B.A. in Economics and an Advanced Certificate in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan.
John is the Executive Vice President of Product Management for VendAsta Technologies Inc. His responsibilities include the creation and direction of overall goals for product development and coordination of marketing efforts. John brings with him 10 years of IT experience. Prior to VendAsta he played a large role in the success of many products that focused on the sale of complex capital goods; these include Point2 NLS, CatUsed, and UsedIron. John worked at Point2 Technologies as Director of Product Development from 2003 to 2007. While there, he capitalized on an opportunity for the company to branch out into Real Estate by creating the first Real Estate website prototype. Once the product had gained momentum John was critical in the success of the larger vision, that of a National Listing Service. He holds a B.A. in Economics and an Advanced Certificate in Regional and Urban Design from the University of Saskatchewan. He also attended Vancouver Film and recieved a diploma in Multimedia.
Allan is the Executive Vice President, Usability Engineering for VendAsta Technologies Inc. Allan acquired a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in Usability and Human Computer Interaction (UI/HCI). Since 2000, Allan has been involved in all major Point2 Technologies Inc. projects. In the early days Allan pioneered Point2's mobile development initiative which ultimately resulted in the currently successful 'Point2 Manager Mobile' application. Armed with this experience and emerging technologies, Allan moved on to design and implemented the front end of the Mobile Caterpillar Certified Inspection module which is used effectively by CatUsed dealerships world wide. Following work for CatUsed, he accepted an opportunity to become the Program Manager for the Point2 Heavy Equipment division (Point2 Manager, Manager Mobile and UsedIron.com market place). Towards the end of his career at P2 Allan was in charge of operations for the real estate project managing Tier1 & Tier2 as well as the Education /Training teams.
Jonathan is the Executive Vice President of Information Technology and Partner Relations. Early in his career, Jonathan spent time in the Canadian military and for the last 12 years, has focused on Information Technology. In his previous role at Point2 Technologies, he was the Director of IT where he built the systems department from the ground up into a world class data center. He oversaw all matters related to security and major modification to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership.
Guy is the Executive Vice President of Product Development. Guy brings over 20 years of experience in software and business consulting. For the past 5 years Guy has worked with Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT) as Point2 Technologies' CatUsed.com Product Manager. Previous to that Guy was employed at a fee for service firm managing a large portfolio of e-commerce, web and custom application projects for a diverse set of over 100 clients. He was also employed at Morris Industries and a family owned business, both in the Ag sector. Guy serves on the board of directors of Advanced Coatings, a Sacramento-based concrete contracting company. Guy has lived abroad for some time and is well travelled, he has good knowledge of the issues facing corporations and people that operate around the world.
