Award received at Saskatoon Open Door Society’s annual event
Feb. 14, 2020 (Saskatoon, CANADA) – Vendasta is proud to receive the Saskatoon Open Door Society (SODS)’s Leadership in Immigrant Recruitment Award.
The award was presented at the newcomer support organization’s Annual Diversity Awards Gala Thursday night.
“About a fifth of our team was born in other countries and immigrated to Saskatchewan, and this diversity is instrumental in our growth,” said VP of People Operations Jean Parchewsky, who accepted the award on Vendasta’s behalf. “It enables us to
expand our knowledge base and we benefit from that worldwide talent and experience.”

To be eligible for the SODS Leadership in Immigrant Recruitment Award, Vendasta had to demonstrate an inclusive attitude towards hiring immigrants. Along with the company’s commitments to SODS, as well as provincial and federal programs, Vendasta employees assist newcomers with drivers’ licenses, housing, and anything else they need to get settled in Canada.
Vendasta has also received the SODS Employer Partner of the Year Award in both 2018 and 2019.
